Fitbit Bracelet | Q Designs
2018
Q Designs was approached by a client to design a bracelet inspired by a piece of jewelry that could hold a Fitbit fitness tracker. This was a collaboration between Fitbit and Q Designs’s undisclosed client. The ID challenge was to keep the bracelet slim and attractive while creating a void to fit the removable Fitbit tracker. The bracelet was machined from 316 SS and finished with a gold PVD coating. Fitbit discontinued this version of tracker before the product launched to market and this product was shelved.
- Translated clients raw ideas into a product brief for development.
- Assembled a design team consisting of industrial designers and mechanical engineers. Presented multiple design paths forward.
- Setup prototyping in China and created a looks like works like prototype for the client’s executive team to review.
