Charging Wallet | Q Designs

The design objective for this product was to integrate electronics into a leather wallet without radically altering the structure of a normal wallet design. This required close collaboration with an expert sample/pattern marker in NYC. The result was a beautiful wallet made of imported Italian calfskin with a full wireless circuit embedded between the layers of the wallet. By utilizing a double sided induction coil the wireless circuit allowed a user to charge their phone by placing it inside or by setting it on the exterior of the wallet. All of this is accomplished without any buttons or wires required on the part of the user. When a phone is placed on the wallet it automatically begins charging and the wallet is also wirelessly recharged by placing it on a wireless charging.
